Home Alone

I just woke up from a loooooooooong nap (2pm-6pm!) and when I got down stairs, no one's home! Everybody left and no one even bothered to tell me. Haha. Anyway, my dog's here so all's good.

So yesterday I bought something for my phone which I rarely do. I went to Glorietta with the boyfriend and saw this cute silicon case! Instantly fell in love with it!

Was playing with the camera settings hihi. Bought this for like 200 bucks!

In lieu of my post regarding Watson's Whitening Milk and Salt Scrub, I think it's about time to write an update. I've been using it daily for a month now and I can't say quite much just yet. Why? Because I think these kinds of things take time to fully see it's effect. But so far so good!:)

Pros: As I've mentioned before, I love how the smell isn't too potent. Personally, I don't like using daily essentials may it be cosmetics or toiletries which are very fragrant. This is because I am in love with my perfume by VS (which I will be posting about sometime in the near future hehe) so I don't want to smell like a perfumery house. Another thing which I really liked about WWMSS (wow that's long) is it doesn't irritate my skin! Lot's of exfoliating products I've used would either give me rashes or would make my skin super itchy! Ugh. So this def would be an empty bottle in no time! And of course, having to use this product for about a month now, I've noticed that the dark areas in my skin began to soften and lighten. Not significantly though, just a tad bit. I have to get back to that area of review after I've finished the bottle so keep posted for that!

Cons: Or should I say con? There's only one back draw--it's effect takes a long time to be noticed. I'm not complaining though, for a hundred bucks worth.

So overall I do recommend this product if a) you're in a tight budget and would want to use a product for its worth and b) if you have patience. Otherwise, when given bigger means for whitening and exfoliation, then I guess you can buy a more expensive brand. Watch out for my final verdict on the coming days (when I've fully finished the whole package).

Watsons Whitening Milk & Salt Scrub

Lately I've been eyeing on how uneven my skin tone is. I blame the weather plus I commute almost daily to school! So I decided to buy this yesterday:

(Used my phone cam)

Bought it at Watsons (Thank you captain obvious!) SM Cubao. It only costs 99 Pesos for 600 grams! I couldn't tell you still on how effective it is. But from it's price, well I wouldn't expect a significant impact instantaneously. I'd give it a month or so before giving my verdict. Other brands offer almost the same quality and end result as this so I strongly think they're all the same. This one though, has papaya extract so it's perfect for exfoliation and whitening! Talk about hitting two birds with one stones, eh? No? Okay.

Anyway, I used it this morning for the first time. The directions say to pour the scrub on your palm and apply it on wet/damp skin in circular motion then leave it for three minutes. And I, being a law-abiding citizen, did exactly just that.
How it felt: The bottle says it is suitable for sensitive skin, so I guess it felt okay. Well what do you expect to feel from salt right? I suggest not to rub it too hard though. AND! May I add to wash skin first with soap then rinse before applying the scrub to not aggregate the skin too much!
The smell: No smell at all (or maybe I just had colds. Teehee :D). Basically nothing too pungent. So that's good.
The taste: Call me gross but I tasted it. Of course just one grain. Duh. Heeeheeeeee. It tasted salty (as promised).

After three minutes of staring at the label of the product, I rinsed as instructed. I dried my skin and the scrub felt rejuvenating for my skin. Of course it didn't whiten agad. But my skin felt softer (slight!).

So I guess I'll be using this everyday to see full results. As far as using it once, it was alright. I've used body scrubs before and this one, I can say, feels effective because a)there was a kind of tingling sensation after application and b)it tasted salty which usually is a good thing or IDK maybe I'm just sleepy because it's like 1.30 in the morning. Heehee.

I've read good reviews for Watsons Whitening Milk & Salt Scrub so I say this is a good buy!

In other unrelated news about how exciting my life is, I just downloaded Retro Camera for Android (see above photos) and I'm excited to use all the cameras that app has to offer! Also, I just finished studying 1/4 of my GG subject so I'm happy with that but not quite since my brain is shutting down. So goodnight lovelies <3 I need to wake up early to study(again!) for my finals! Summer vacation's coming up so let's get these school works over and done with!
